The NY Times ran
this article yesterday about the show of support for Amadou Ly, an undocumented high school student from Senegal on an award-winning robotics team. It's great to see stories like this about the impact of the broken immigration system in this country on the lives of hard-working immigrants, and it seems like a lot of people can be moved to do something about it, at least in individual cases.

Chris,
Unfortunately, I could not find your e-mail address on your web site. Therefore, I am leaving a comment here. Please respond to this via e-mail at njulka -at- gmail -dot- com
I just wanted to complement you on the web site. I am definitely adding it to my blog roll. (My site is: http://edpol.blogspot.com )
I am actually a columbia business school student. I hope you don't group me together with all "b school" students. I am very interested in educational issues and I am beginning to blog more on the topic.
I am really interested in your background. I see that you have worked with the teacher unions in the past and now work with charter schools. I would love to read more about this.
Please e-mail me at njulka-at-gmail-dot-com.
